what i'll be wearing this spring

so this is my spring inspiration.  these are the silhouettes i will be wearing.  for the most part, its loose and flowy.  a-line skirts, mid length as well as mini.  part sophisticated, part rock goddess but always alluring.  i'll also be further exploring the maxi dress and rompers.  shoe wise, i'm planning on some hot platforms, flats and moccasins (also considering the boat shoe).  so, that's my plan; what are you planning to wear this spring season???

homemade: easy breezy tee

this is just the image i was searching for: kristen stewart as joan jett in "runaways." this is the t-shirt i was telling you about. all she appeared to do was cut out the letters on a piece of cardboard, place it on the tee and spray paint inside and around. as you can see, she also added her safety pins for good measure. i can do this! or is this one of those things that look easy breezy but are not so simple? anyway, just thought i would share...

in my white tee

kristen stewart and dakota fanning

hi guys! found a pic of these two pretty ladies and it just made me smile. two pretty low key chicks in their white tees and jeans! and they look fantastic and comfortable. sometimes, simplicity is key (as i mentioned yesterday).

homemade-do it yourself bad girl jean

revamped an old idea and thought i would share my knowledge with the world. well, ok, i'll just share with you. sometimes, i get crazy with the scissors and make sexy slices all over my jeans. Then winter and reality hit and i get cold...so, my solution: fill in the blanks. for regular, practical days, i simply add tights (colored and/or patterned tights if i'm feeling dangerous). when its time to reveal my vampy, tough chick nite look, i wear my lace or fishnet stockings under my skinny jean. if you really like the look, commit to it and sew your choice of lace into the random holes in your jeans.

btw, when you must wear your fishnets although the temperature is colder than a chicago winter night, wear a pair of stockings underneath your hooker hosiery. if its really frigid, why not wear the tights with the fishies? great tips to use on new years eve, lovelies.

fyi...improve your life

i know that you recall our conversation the other day about animal prints and how to wear them well. guess what, passionistas, i found a splendid little item that meets the criteria. check out this faux leopard jacket from forever 21. oh, this will def. embellish any ensemble you choose to shimmy into. imagine this jacket, a white tee, a lite skinny denim jean and some hot heels (or even sneaks). totally awesome dude {in my bill & ted's excellent adventure voice}!!! too cute. bottom line: invest in this jacket for a better life. you heard it here first.

Jacket Jeanius

what, you ask, is the item that is going to pull almost all your outfits together? answer: the all important jean jacket! the jean jacket works magic. it can toughen up a girly dress, tone down a dressy or skanky outfit, give pizazz to a plain outfit. crucial tips to keep in mind:

* get a flattering fit. i cut the bottom off of mine a few years back to create a better shape.

* feel free to wear denim at the top and bottom. just vary the color scheme. it ain't the 80s.
* use accessories to dress up the denim. add your own personal touch.

red, white and...khaki

i've always been a fan of the 3 color combo with my outfits. one variety that i love is the white top, khaki color pant with red accessories. example: cute white tee with khaki (preferably the darker kind) safari type pant that balloon at the knee with red peep toe heels and a thin red belt. try dangly gold earrings.
adds a lil pizazz to the humdrum and overdone Gap look.
