i am not particularly pleased with usher's public image lately. i think that its pretty classless to air the specifics of your marriage (or former marriage) out in public. To exploit that for money and popularity is even worse. haven't really listened to much of his current music either. however, i must admit that when i do see him on the blogs ect., he is usually well groomed and looking hot. this day was no exception.

if you're not an obama fan or if you're fanatically opposed to the healthcare reform bill, then please ignore this post. ignore it because this entry's purpose is to express my grattitude towards President Barrack Obama for doing all he could to make sure everyone can be healthy without going broke. you already know how much i love people who stick to their beliefs, principles even when its not popular. to thine own self be true. president obama embodies that statement, in my opinion. today is suppose to be the day we find out the fate of healthcare. whatever happens, im proud to have a president who cares this much. hats off to the coolest, Pres. O.

a very big deal

i'm back! and i did have a great day today, thank you very much. good news for you... i came across quite a few great deals. the best one that i MUST share is the sale at H&M. all jackets and blazers are $15 off. not just the ugly ones or the gigantic ones. ALL! i scooped up two myself and the damage only came to $40. i got one with the trendy poofy shoulder with a fantastic silhouette and a navy blue collarless Chanelish one. both fit me well.

of course you know most stores are practically giving boots away now. great time to stock up if you've got some extra cash (tax refund, anyone?). anyhoo, get to h&m immediately before the competition cleans them out. and you're welcome...

i gotta feeling...that todays gonna be a good good day! its suppose to be freakin' 66 degrees!!! that may not seem so earth shattering to you. but, when you've been dealing with constant snowstorms, cold, and monsoons, a sunny spring day seems like winning the lottery. above is rihanna (obvs.), my style inspiration for today. at first, i was wracking my pretty brain trying to figure out the perfect outfit but settled on kiss (keepin it simple, stupid). instead of the LV scarf she chose, i'll opt for a cute kelly green scarf for st. patrick's day. not sure about the footwear yet since i plan to walk my butt off in the city today. yep, its gonna be a good day...hope you have one too......

another double black and white edition. once again, i am devoting a post to creative individuals, to queens who don't give a damn. these are the types of women i admire. i get very tired of the cookie cutter image celebrities run to in order to be famous. you can predict what the starlets will do long before they do it. i am much more interested in someone who takes chances and listens to their own heart. it is so heartbreaking to observe teenage girls fighting for mediocrity, following the pack and dying to fit in. if only the knew...these fascinating females already do.

little miss ki-ki! kirsten dunst is such an inspiration. its not that i necessarily agree with all her choices. there are times that i definitely don't. however, i do like that she does her own thing regardless of whats "fashionable and trendy." kirsten takes chances that are often quirky but original. then there are days when she doesn't seem to care at all. there is a refreshing attitude i can certainly admire.

down came the rain

i know that i'm suppose to be ga-ga (pun intended, sorry) over joan jett with the runaway movie coming out and all. and i do love joan and her bad girl steez...just as much as she loves rock n roll. however, i can't help but love debbie harry more. you may have guessed that from the constant posts with ms. harry as the subject. her style was tough but feminine. her face was america's next top model worthy (i know you'd sacrifice your pinky toe for those cheekbones and pouty mouth). while harry was queen of the punk era, she was not afraid to branch out to lesser known genres like rap (at the time).

with the new movie coming out soon (or maybe it came out yesterday?), i am sure to devote a post to those rocking runaways. today, i'm pleased to inform you, is dedicated to THE blondie, debby harry! bow down, bitches!!!!
