i haven't had a crush of any kind in years (donkey years as my grandmother would say).  but the drought is over.  i am having a love affair with the boston celtics, rajon rondo in particular.  watching him can be like poetry in motion (and you know how i love poetry).  he is like a conductor of an orchestra, absently dribbling down the court while directing his fellow teammates where to go and what to do.  love a man who takes charge!  besides his talent, rajon rondo is a cutie.  with his boyish good looks and girly eyelashes, rondo can send a married girl into a tizzy.  (fanning myself vigorously)

its been quite a while since i've been inspired by a man and his wardrobe.  but then came bruno mars.  his retro yet relaxed look has taken the entertainment world by storm.  the elvis do and 50's doo wop sense of style has definitely won me (and not to mention a million others) over.  of course, those boyish good looks, truckload of talent and never ending charm don't hurt.  safe to say there are a number of ladies who would  gladly catch a grenade for him.  wanna rock the retro look bruno style (ladies, you too!)?  read on...

 you know i was definitely tuned in to the NBA All Star 2011 game.  i've actually been pretty engrossed the entire season (unlike the last 2-3 years when i begin closer to the playoffs).  however, i kept my fashion hat on lastnight, critiquing all of the outfits.  as usual, my favorite team, boston celtics, did not disappoint.  they were like the ratpack of bball on the "magenta" carpet.  another highlight was amare stoudemire.  i've been keeping my eye on him and the knicks.  dareisay, i may be turning into a knick fan (they were my arch rivals in the 90's when i would take a bullet for the bulls).  anyway, great game and congrats to kobe (not a fan) for his 4th all star mvp award.  but be afraid; the ratpack is gunning for ya...besos jenna pearle*

stuntin' like my daddy

justin combs, son of diddy (and fashion stylist misa hilton-brym), celebrated his sixteenth birthday the other night. of course, plenty of the stars shone brightly but the birthday boy was looking quite dapper. i love the white tuxedo jacket with black details with the classic black and white shelltop adidas. no one on the corner got swagger like him. happy bday, justin!

rihanna goes hard-gettin gq

so, ri-ri is featured in the upcoming issue of gq magazine. and as you can probably gather, she also has the honor of gracing the cover. i don't know. im not particularly impressed. some of the picture choices are pretty raunchy (and not in a good way). it is my opinion that rihanna and the people who are responsible try way too hard and treat her targeted demographic as if they are gullible idiots (although in many cases, they may be spot on). also (back to the cover), she can certainly be styled better. however, there are a few pics that i do like (esp the one in black above). beauty does prevail.
