beyonce is beyond beautiful......no breaking news here.  people magazine confirmed this by selecting her to be the most beautiful woman IN THE WORLD.  but..........the decision is just a bit too predictable, too cliche.  and the pictures (in my opinion) were too bland.  they did very little to showcase how stunning she truly is.  but wouldn't it have been refreshing to see a fresh and less conventional beauty on the cover with that title?  when writing this, i thought of a bevy of ladies who are beautiful and less....well, boring.  at first, i was going to showcase a bunch of them here.  however, i changed my mind and decided to settle on one phenomenal beauty.  kat dennings!!!
i have been mesmerized by this gorgeous gal for quite some time.  i think it began with 'nick & norah's infinite playlist.'  i only watched half of it but was still impressed.  (i recall ms. dennings on an infamous sex & the city episodes)  then i got to get a chance for a weekly dose of her when she signed on for the sitcom '2 broke girls.'  what i love about her besides her rare beauty (have you seen those eyes big as quarters and lips that many would sacrifice first borns for) is the intelligence and downtown sauciness she gives off in every role and interviews.  a wallflower, she is not. plus, kat has quite the bodacious body (another area where she could give bey a run for her millions).  she certainly does not fit the cookie cutter mold of what's pretty in hollywood.   nevertheless, i think kat dennings has just as strong a case for "most beautiful woman" as mrs. knowles-carter.  who would you choose for the title?

Beyoncé's Why Don't You Love Me-video voyeur

so, i promised you guys a new regular feature before my unexpected hiatus.  that was the video voyeur posts every week that celebrates the aesthetics and overall awsomeness of a great music video.  this week, i'm shining the spotlight on beyonce knowles *as if she needs it*.  this diva has a slew of phenomenal videos under her cinched in belt but today we're discussing "why don't you love me?"  really, there is nothing here not to love.  so, here are a few reasons why i Do love beyonce and this video:

•  the retro ambience is absolutely impressive
• beyonce (and those lovely curves) look amazing in that make up, hair and costumes
• not usually a fan of her (ahem) acting skills BUT here she demonstrates her desperation and frustration quite well
• the cocky cheekiness thatS become typical of bey(dusting her numerous grammys on the mantle)
• a catchy song that you can't help but like

conclusion:  ms. bey is a bad mama jama!

you look like no-sasha not-so-fierce

lately, (usually) bey gets her clothing choices right.  however, this time...........well, this was wrong.  this was all wrong! while i always like a striped tank, adding a cropped crochet vest that ties and then a decorative belt that brings attention to the widest section of her body was not a good idea.  to top it off, bey decides on the long necklace as if there wasn't enough going on.  the ill fitting, unflattering cropped pant add to the rest of the chaos.  what was she thinking??  on a positive note, i do like the hair and make-up.  tsk, tsk, ms. knowles.  you know better than this.  but everyone deserves to have an off day.  all is forgiven.

presenting the power couple of our lifetime, mr. and mrs jay and bey.  there is so much to love about these two but lately, i've been enjoying their syncopated fashion sense.  in the first pic, bey's angelic hippie look along with jay's playful accessories make me oh so happy.  in the second picture, ms. knowles is rocking one of my tried and true go to ensembles (the newsboy is my hat of choice) while jay sticks with a preppy, hip hop look.  the brown louie belt, beige cardigan and classic  timbs work well for a casual night out (when you're an entertainment legend with a superstar wife). what a stylish duo!   besos jenna pearle*

A Plus for Bey

i heart everything about this dress. love the way the top of the dress magnificently displays the twins. i adore the ruffled detail that modestly covers all the bootiliciousness. plus, how genius is the short sequined mini skirt that match the bodice as the cherry on the top (well, the bottom in this case)?!
