i forgot to celebrate here at passionista the take down of the obnoxious heat team.  that said, i'm really happy for that dallas team.  they certainly deserved it.  next year, its all about the celtics.

couldn't let the entire day go by without giving birthday shoutouts to the most popular fella on passionista, kanye west.  so...happy birthday, kanye!!!  and i must congratulate dallas mavs on their important win tonight.  anyone who can take out the heat is alright with me.

the revolution was never televised

very sad to hear about gil scott heron's passing.  he was such a phenomenal, dynamic man.  a poet, an activist, a revolutionary, he will surely be missed.  if you are not familiar with him, you missed out.  but, its not too late.  go check out some of his work when you get a chance.  click the link below for more information at npr.

shut the front door!!!  who knew my childhood train stop (church ave. flatbush) was the new "it" place for photo shoots!  "we did it {again}, brooklyn!!!!!!" (in my biggie voice)
